Obszary Współpracy

W 2006 roku znacznie aktywniejsze stały się dwustronne polityczne relację między Gruzją a Polską. Polska przekształciła się z zaprzyjaźnionego Państwa w strategicznego sojusznika naszego państwa.

 

Z drugiej strony Gruzja zajęła znaczne miejsce w polityce zagranicznej Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej. Potwierdza to fakt, że w 2006 roku Polski Rząd, jako  jeden z priorytetów polityki zagranicznej ogłosił stosunki z Gruzją.

 

W latach 2006-2011 Prezydenci Gruzji i RP spotykali się wielokrotnie.

 

W maju 2007 roku , podczas wizyty Prezydenta Gruzji w Warszawie, za inicjatywą Prezydentów RP i Gruzji postanowiono o utworzeniu Polsko-Gruzińskiego Komitetu Konsultacyjnego Prezydentów. Dany Komitet w trybie roboczym rozpatruje różne aspekty dwustronnej współpracy.

 

Obecnie Polska zdecydowanie popiera członkostwo Gruzji w NATO oraz Integrację z Unią Europejską.

 

Gruzja aktywnie współpracuje z Polską, jako z jednym z inicjatorów „Partnerstwa Wschodniego".

 

Gruzja i Rzeczpospolita poważnie współpracują w ramach organizacji międzynarodowych z punktu widzenia przedstawionych inicjatyw politycznych oraz propozycje w zakresie wzajemnego wsparcia obu państw. Na arenie międzynarodowy Polska aktywnie lobbuje  polityczne interesy naszego kraju.

 

Gruzję i Polskę łączą również wspólne interesy w kwestiach zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa energetycznego,  w tym kierunku ważnym był wynik Szczytu Energetycznego w Krakowie 11-13 maja 2007 roku.

 

Wzmożona została współpraca między Gruzją a Polską w dziedzinie obrony.

 

Dialog w kwestiach bezpieczeństwa stał się bardzie intensywny.

 

Gruzja i Polska dzięki bezpośredniemu uczestnictwu w operacji ISAF, kontynuują walkę z terroryzmem w Afganistanie, działając w zakresie zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa i stabilność.

 

Jednym z priorytetów nadal zostaje wzmocnienie dwustronnych stosunków gospodarczych. W ostatnich latach Polska aktywnie lobuje  na arenie międzynarodowej nie tylko polityczne, ale również ekonomiczne interesy Gruzji.

 

Aktywna jest współpraca obu państw również w dziedzinie rozwoju regionalnego. W ostatnich latach między wieloma miastami i regionami Gruzji i Polski utworzona została współpraca partnerska, do tych miast partnerskich zaliczają się: Warszawa i Tbilisi, Tbilisi i Kraków, Poznań i Kutaisi, Kutaisi i Bielsko -Biała, Żywiec i Borjomi, Rustavi i Płock.

 

Coraz bardziej rozwija się Gruzińsko-Polska współpraca w dziedzinie kultury i edukacji

 

Relations between Georgia and the Republic of Poland 
 

Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Poland were established on 28th of April 1992.

In 1997 Polish Embassy has been opened in Georgia.

In 2001 to the Georgian Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany was added accreditation to the Republic of Poland. Herewith, in 2003 in Warsaw has been opened Office of Diplomatic Representation. In 2005, by the Decree of President of Georgia, an Embassy in the Republic of Poland has been established and an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary was appointed.

H.E. Mrs. Ursula Doroshevska assumed his duties since 26 November, 2008

 

Fields of co-operation:

Priorities of Foreign Affairs of Georgia coincide with Polish ones. Consequently, relations between the two countries are successfully developing in many fields, including within the International Organizations, regarding the political initiatives and supports towards each other.

Between Georgia and Poland are being real perspectives to develop bilateral economic relations. Although, unfortunately, level of nowadays trade-economic relations do not reflects possibilities of two countries fully.
