Irakli Kobakhidze spoke to Radio Poland about Foreign Policy Priorities of Georgia

“Our main plan is to strengthen the cooperation with different countries from the European Union and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, and this summit provided an excellent opportunity for deepening the cooperation in general”, - said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia when speaking of the Summit of Speakers of Central and Eastern European Parliaments held in Warsaw on May 17-20 with the Polish Radio.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia spoke to the journalist, Roberto Galea about importance of bilateral relations between Georgia and Poland and European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the country.

“We have very clear foreign policy priorities, which were reflected in the parliamentary resolution adopted by the Georgian Parliament in December last year, shortly after the Parliamentary Elections. This resolution states that our main goal is the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia. In this regard our cooperation with different countries and Central and Eastern Europe is particularly important”, – Irakli Kobakhidze said.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia mentioned that European and Euro-Atlantic integration is a firm political will of the Georgian people and this was confirmed in the last Parliamentary elections as well.
