Information on the visit of the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia to Poland

On the 17-18th March, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia,  Davit Darachvelidze had official visit in the Republic of Poland. In the frame of the visit the Minister held meetings with Mr. Piotr Stachańczyk, Secretary of State, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Rafal Rogala,  the Head of the Office for Foreigners and Mr. Dominik Tracz, BG Brigadier General, Border Guards Commander in Chief.

The aim of the visit was sharing Polish experience in the field of migration policy, integration of foreigners, asylum seekers, refugees. The sides  agreed on developing relevant branches of bilateral cooperation. The Polish side expressed readiness to send its experts to Georgia for providing practical assistance.

In the meetings also  participated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Poland Mr. Nikoloz Nikolozishvili, Senior Councellor of the Embassy Ms. Ketevan Esiashvili, Deputy Director of the Department for Migration, Refugees and Repatriation Mr. Irakli Kokaia, Director of International Relations Department Ms. Tamar Basilia.
