On 30 April 2012, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, has extended-in addition to the letters conveyed to a number of international organizations and solid non-governmental organizations - official invitations to the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM - Organization for Democracy and Democratic Development, as well as to the Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies to send the election observers to Georgia for the upcoming October 2012 parliamentary elections.

Similar to other official letters, the invitations extended to the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly and the Community of Democracies highlight the full readiness of the Georgian side to host as many observers as possible from these organizations, at their earliest convenience, to ensure the full and comprehensive monitoring of both pre-election and election phases.
