On 5 March 2015, the Russian Army began to hold simultaneous field exercises on twelve firing ranges in the Russian Federation's Southern Military District and in Georgia's occupied regions of Tskhinvali and Abkhazia. Different military units, including divisions of air defense are carrying out large-scale exercises in the use of various artillery systems. These exercises notably involve advanced Russian offensive military equipment such as "Igla" air defense missile complexes, "Tunguska" anti-aircraft gun and missile systems, "Shilka" anti-aircraft artillery systems, S-300B, "Strela-10", "Tor" and "Osa" anti-aircraft missile systems.  Over 2,000 men and 500 units of military equipment are taking part in these field exercises.

W dniu 5 marca 2015 roku Senat Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (Izba wyższa parlamentu) głosował za ustawą o ratyfikacji Układu o stowarzyszeniu między Unią Europejską i Europejską Wspólnotą Energii Atomowej oraz ich państwami członkowskimi, z jednej strony, a Gruzją, z drugiej strony, sporządzonego w Brukseli 27 czerwca 2014 r. Na głosowaniu ratyfikacje Układu między UE a Gruzją poparło 75 senatorów, sprzeciwu nie wyrażono.

Georgia’s electronic e-Visa portal went online on the 10th of February 2015. This system enables foreigners coming to Georgia as tourists or for business to obtain an e-Visa without having to apply to Georgia’s consular offices abroad.People wishing to obtain an e-Visa must go to www.evisa.gov.ge.Before filling out the online application form, every applicant must familiarize him or herself with the detailed information regarding the rules and terms which apply to e-Visas. This information is available on the portal’s “frequently asked questions” (FAQ) page.

W dniu 6 lutego 2015 roku Sejm Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (niższa izba Parlamentu), jednomyślnie dokonał ratyfikację umowy o stowarzyszeniu UE - Gruzją. Na głosowaniu Sejmu ustawy o ratyfikacji układu o stowarzyszeniu między UE i Europejską Wspólnotą Energii Atomowej oraz ich państwami członkowskimi , z jednej strony, a Gruzją, z drugie strony, sporządzonego w Brukseli dnia 27 czerwca 2014 roku, głosowało za - 439 posłów, wstrzymało się -1. Sprzeciwu nie wyrażono.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry welcomes the decision of the EU Council to extend the mandate of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia and reaffirms its readiness to continue close co-operation with the Head of the Mission.

On the 5th of December 2014 the Russian Army began to hold simultaneous field exercises on six firing ranges in the Russian Federation's Southern Military District and in Georgia's occupied region of Tskhinvali. The officers and servicemen of the Russian 58th Army are carrying out large-scale exercises in the use of various artillery and advanced radio location systems. These actions of the Russian Federation are a further infringement of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. They constitute a gross violation of the Georgian Constitution, of the norms and principles of international law and of Russia's international commitments including those Russia undertook by the Ceasefire Agreement of 12 August 2008, and pose a threat to peace and stability in the region.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Tamar Beruchashvili, today gave a special statement concerning the treaty signed between Russia and the occupation regime of Abkhazia, denouncing the signature of the so-called "treaty on alliance and strategic partnership" as a violation of fundamental principles of international law and as a further step taken by Russia towards the annexation of Abkhazia. "The signature of the so-called treaty on alliance and strategic partnership represents a further step of the Russian Federation towards the de-facto annexation of the region of Abkhazia. The Georgian government condemns this illegal move and calls upon the international community to properly assess this act, which is directed against Georgia's territorial integrity in violation of fundamental principles of international law.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry wishes to express its concern over the Russian Government's decision, made on the 20th of November 2014, to submit a text of the so-called "treaty on alliance and strategic partnership" between Russia and Abkhazia-an integral part of Georgia-to the Russian President for his approval.

On the 17th of November 2014, the European Union and Georgia held the first meeting of the Association Council, which represents yet another step towards the further enhancement of political dialogue with the European Union in the process of Georgia's European integration. The decision taken at the meeting laid the basis for a new institutional framework, which is stipulated by the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union, namely that Association Council, Association Committees and sectoral subcommittees.

On the 11th of November 2014, Ms Tamar Beruchashvili was appointed to be the new Georgian Foreign Minister. When introducing the new Foreign Minister at the Chancery, the Georgian Prime Minister, Mr Irakli Gharibashvili, underlined the fact that Ms Beruchashvili is a career diplomat with much experience of civil service. As Mr Gharibashvili noted, Georgia's desire to integrate with European and Euro-Atlantic structures reflects the choice and unwavering will of the Georgian people.
