28.02.2017, Geneva – Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze appeared before the 34th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

27.02.2017  - On 27 February, the Council of the European Union adopted amendment to Regulation (EC) No 539/2001 transferring Georgia to the list of visa-free countries. It is the last step in the process of granting Georgia visa-free travel with the EU.

02.02.2017, Brussels - the European Parliament voted on 2 February 2017 to grant Georgian citizens visa-free travel with the EU.Visa liberalization for Georgia was approved with 553 votes in favor and 66 against. Legislative proposal to amend Regulation (EC) No 539/2001 transferring Georgia to the list of visa-free countries was also adopted.

"We will exercise every opportunity, every international forum or tribune to consolidated support of the international community to European aspirations of our country; Georgia to be on the agenda of every high level meeting in the EU and NATO", noted the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Victor Dolidze at the Europe-Ukraine Economic Forum Plenary Session "Sovereignty, Democracy, Development: How Central and Eastern Europe Has Changed over the Past 25 Years" held on 28 January in Rzeszów.

State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Victor Dolidze met with the Minority Leader of the Polish Senate, Senator Bogdan Klich. The meeting was held on 27 January in the framework of Europe-Ukraine 10th Economic Forum in Rzeszów, Poland.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia welcomes the Association Implementation Report on Georgia reflecting the progress achieved in the period of January 2015 to December 2016. It is for the first time that the EU report on Georgia was published under the title: Association Implementation Report, which signals the transition to a new level of relations between Georgia and the European Union, namely political association and economic integration.
