State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration visits Poland

 

On 5-6 November, 2015 the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, David Bakradze paid a working visit to the Republic of Poland within which he took part in Warsaw Security Forum, as well as held bilateral meeting with the Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Konrad Pawlik.  

On 5th of November State Minister of Georgia delivered a speech at the panel of Eastern Partnership of Warsaw Security Forum. In his speech, David Bakradze focused on EaP countries and the existing external challenges, threats and perspectives against the backdrop of the security situation in the region.  He also stressed the effected reforms in the framework of the Association Agreement and the implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.

 

In the framework of Warsaw visit State Minister of Georgia held bilateral meeting with the Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Konrad Pawlik. The sides widely discussed issued related to Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Konrad Pawlik re-confirmed a firm support of Poland towards Georgia's European aspirations and underscored the importance to adequately reflect the progress demonstrated by Georgia in decisions of the EU Member States and European structures, including in the direction of wavering the visa requirement for the citizens of Georgia. Polish side also re-confirmed strong support on Georgia’s NATO integration.
